São Felipe is located approximately 11.5 km south of the mouth of Rio Içana. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the shore of the city of São Felipe, along Rio Negro in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Amazonas. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the city of São Felipe along Rio Negro. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the shore. Because the area does not have defined spatial boundaries, used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to approximate the linear extent of the shoreline of São Felipe by measuring to the nearest named place on the same side of Rio Negro, Missão Boa Vista, then halving this distance.
