Description:

Shrub. Weakly woody shrub to 0.5 m. Stems quadrangular, vertices shortly winged. Underside of leaves deep purple. Petals tinged pink, anthers similar.
Habitat:

Deep forest with patches of secondary forest due to abandon mines. Eperua, Dicymbe, Rubiaceae, and Piperaceae dominant.
