Guyana. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Pakaraima Mountains; toe slopes on NW side of Mt. Ayanganna. Alt. 1100 - 1200 m. (3609 - 3937 ft.)

Description:

Shrub. Arching shrub, 0.5 m; stems woody, reddish at base; leaves pink to light green below; corolla white. Fruit translucent green to pink.
Habitat:

On streamside rock. Montane evergreen forest, canopy 30-40 m. Large trees including Lecythidaceae, Fabaceae - rich in epiphytes, lianas, fungi. Creek with sandstone talus, rich in herbs. Soils sandstone and laterite derived.
