Description:

Tree 14 m tall, 17 cm dbh. New leaves and flowers produced at the same time. Inflorescences short, the rachis to 15 mm long; very young flower buds yellow; mature flowers pink-red; triple coil. Fruits ca. 10 cm diam, light-brown. Phenology of specimen: Flower and Fruit.
Habitat:

Premontane wet forest. Infrequent.
