Description:
Hemiepiphyte; internodes gray-brown, matte, moderately, acutely flattened on one side; petioles fully sheathed and sometimes overlapping blade; sheath tightly incurled at base, fully spreading at apex, matte to weakly glossy outside, moderately glossy inside; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and matte-subvelvety above, moderately paler and matte below; midrib narrowly sunken and concolorous above, narrowly rounded and slightly paler below; primary lateral veins weakly sunken and concolorous above, convex below; minor veins moderately obscure; inflorescence 1 per axil; peduncle 2.5 cm long, 6 mm diam.; spathe 10 cm long (pre-anthesis), medium green and matte outside, medium green and glossy inside but with purplish resin canals extending from base of tube to upper 2/3 of blade; female spadix stipitate 6 mm; male portion 2.1 cm long in front, 1.8 cm in rear, 1.1 cm diam.; male spadix 5.7 cm long, broadest at sterile portion 1.1 cm diam., 0.7 cm diam. midway, creamy white.
