Description:

epiphytic shrub to 2 m with much swollen base. flowers bright red with white tips; fruit ca 2 cm in diam. purple, dark at tip. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

upland pastures in open cloudforest.

Collection Notes: seedlings abundant on branches and ground; fruit to 2 cm diam.
