Brazil. Bahia. Itacaré Mun. On ramal of Embratel, TV tower, 4 km from jct. with road to Itacaré & 20 km from BR 101, Serra do Jacutinga.

Description:

Climbing over trees, not forming dense clumps, small groups of culms here and there, mixed in forest. Culms asperous. Leaves persistent. Inflorescence in heads at end of leafy branches, many in anthesis. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Beautiful forest in excellent condition on high sierra. Plants growing on slopes of mountain. Many Marantaceae, Acanthaceae, and other herbaceous plants.
