Brazil. Mato Grosso. Vale de Sonhos (80 km N of Barra do Garças on the road to Xavantina). The trunk is lying across a stream (the Córego de Matrinxão) on the banks of which the tree is rooted.

Description:

Tree, about 10 m. tall before its fall & with trunk 25 cm. in diam. at breast height. Petals white; stamens bright yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

The trunk is lying across a stream (the córrego de Marrinxão) on the banks of which the tree is rooted.
