Ecuador. Carchi. Tulcán (Canton). Parroquia: Maldonado. Collection made along path from the village of Maldonado towards an area known locally as Bombiadora. C.a., 4-6 km SW of Maldonado. Evergreen montane/premontane wet forest. Alt. 1500 - 2200 m. (4921 - 7218 ft.)

Description:

Tree, 4 m tall. Calyx and corolla pinkish-red. Androphore yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
