Description:

Culms to 2.5 cm. diam., to 4.5 m. tall, more or less erect, arching slightly at tips. Internodes short, ca. 10-15 cm. older ones smooth and glossy. Branching intravaginal; lower 20 nodes or so without buds; branches (including the central one ) pendent. Culm leaves abaxially slightly glabrous, deciduous. Traeter with 70% EtOH. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
Habitat:

In shrubby vegetation transitional to campo de altitude.
