Description:

Leaves above with slightly prominent veins. Spikes erect, purplish-brown. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Taller subtropical forest, mostly evergreen. With Anadenanthera colubrina, Astronium, Scheelea princeps. Rolling, unconsolidated sandy soil, weathered to somewhat reddish.
