Description:

Rhizome erect or ascending, slender to stout, usu stoloniferous; fronds 23-45 by 10-20 cm, ascending or spreading, pinnate at base, pinnatisect distally; 12-24 pinnae.

Habitat:

Disturbed mesic forest with somewhat broken canopy. Acacia koa, A. confusa, Cryptomeria japonica.
