Description:

Tree. Tree 12 m, fruits spindle-shaped, light orange, dehiscing to reveal single black seed enveloped in white pulp. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Primary forest on parts of terra firme where Guadua sarcocarpa is beginning to dominate, approx. 11 years after dieback.
