However, this is an old collection (1949) and it is conceivable that the boundaries have changed/were not readily apparent to the collector. The most plausible interpretation of the location description is that this collection was made at or near Vargem Alta, which is by far the smaller and least populous of the two different named places on the label, making it safe to assume that place was meant to be the most specific element of the locality directions. Also, could not locate a place named "Morro de Sal" or any conspicuous mounds of salt in the area (even if salt mounds could be spotted, their present-day location cannot be reasonably transferred to collections made so many years in the past. Therefore, georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Vargem Alta, in Mun. Vargem Alta, Espírito Santo.
