Colombia. Nariño. La Planada Biological Reserve, ca. 7 km S of Chucunéz, along trail to Pialapi to quebrada La Calladita. Alt. 1800 - 1900 m. (5905 - 6234 ft.)

Description:

epiphyte. leaves thick coriaceous; rachis, pedicel, calyx and corolla all red (corollas taken from ground, however). Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

disturbed premontane forest and open potreros; in open dry potrero.
