Description:
Crooked and gnarly appearing trees; stem 1½ foot thick, 30 feet high, branched above the middle; branches spreading, forming a flat crown; twigs greenish, lax, chiefly descending; a flat crown; leaves subcoriaceous, deep green above, much paler beneath, the young ones yellowish green, the veins also yellowish green, nearly flat with tips recurved and margins coarsely wavy; figs hanging upon 3 to 13 inches long tubercles along the stem and larger branches; tubercles flexible, branched, fruits dull green, with small brown lenticels. sub-globose excepting the elongated basal stalk, 1½ to 2 inches in diameter, apex flat with a sunken umbilicus, between the middle and the apex undulately marked with concentric ridges and bracts, peduncle proper 1½ inch long.
