Description:

Tree 20 m x 50 cm; trunk cylindric, outer bark brown, thin with hoop marks, few spines, many raised lenticels, inner bark rose with white striations; fruits pendent, spindle-shaped, orange, to 18 cm long; latex brownish-cream. Use: fruits edible. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Undulating terrain. Disturbed terra firme forest with open canopy, source of disturbance unknown (bamboo die-back ?).
