Description:

Tree. Tree 30m x 80cm, flowers sepia, few open. Outer bark brown, deeply fissured, rough, brittle, inner bark tan. Low broad plank buttresses. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Unlogged forest on terra firme near recently opened unpaved access road. Some patches dominated by Guadua sarcocarpa; Tetragastris and Brosimum common. Clay soils.
