Location:

Ecuador. Esmeraldas. San Lorenzo (Canton). Shady area along primary road from Lita to the community El Cristal, 2-3 km north of El Cristal. Alt. 1071m. (3514 ft.)

Description:

Terrestrial herb, 30-45 cm tall. Stems succulent. Calyx bright purple. Corolla campanulate; white suffused with red.

Habitat:

Secondary forest with remnant patches montane/premontane mature wet forest.
