Description:

Treelet, 2-4 m. Leaves subcoriaceous, yellow-green and shiny above, orange-green beneath; fruit shiny black. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Adjacent "mussununga" savanna. Southern Bahian wet forest ("tabuleiro" forest).
