Description:

Scandent shrub in tangled understory vegetation on rotting stump. Inflorescences pendent, peduncle about 25 cm long, bracts red, corolla waxy, yellow except for two bright red patches inside lower lip. Rare.
Habitat:

Slightly disturbed terra firme moist forest on Quaterna.
