Description:

Herb to 0.9m tall, from taproot; most leaves with indentations that are yellow and turn into holes; flowers orange and yellow; fruits green, some opening. Fairly common along roadside.
Habitat:

Rural homes in humid forest zone, very altered red soil. Associated with: Inga vera, Bambusa vulgaris, Dracaena fragrans, Coffea.
