Brazil. Bahia. Mucuri Mun. Fazenda Martinica, ca. 2 km S of Rio Mucuri and 8 km W of the BR 101 in a local called Alegre. Alt. 40 - 80 m. (131 - 262 ft.)

Description:

Caespitose palm with 5-6 m x 3-4 cm trunk. 2-5 leaves in crown. [see label for additional information]. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Swamp with surrounding coastal rain forest. Abundant.
