Smith 2481 (NY); northwestern slope of Kanuku Mts., in drainage of Moku-moku Creek (Takutu tributary), dense forest, alt 150-400 m, 31 Mar-16 Apr 1938, A. C. Smith 3368 (NY).

Type. Not seen. Reported as “Ex Caracas. Floret in caldario Junio & Julio.” Miiller-Argoviensis (in D.C., Prodr. 15(2): 854.) 1866). quotes it as Funk et Schlim n. 505. Apparently the type specimen was cultivated and came originally from Caracas.
