Definition
Referring to a structure that can be divided into numerous mirror-image halves. This and its associated terms are usually, but not exclusively, applied to flowers. Opposite of symmetric.

Notes
In the Lecythidaceae, the flowers are divided into three types of symmetry: actinomorphic, obliquely zygomorphic, and zygomorphic, of these, obliquely zygomorphic and zygomorphic, are asymmetric.
