Australia. Queensland. Great Sandy National Park, Fraser Island, near Lake McKenzie.

Habitat
Sclerophyll. Eucalyptus pilularis, Leptospermum, Syncarpia glomulifera. Solitary. On living tree bark.

Description
Pileus 7.5 cm broad, convex, dry with scales completely flattened into radial fibrils, dull brown (no red or pink). Flesh yellow, cyanescent. Tubes adnexed, sordid yellow, cyanescent, with pores dark brown and cyanescent. Stipe 11.5 x 1.5 cm broad, equal, curved, with slight bulb at base, red band at apex, whitish becoming pale tan to pale grayish orange (5-6B4), matted fibrillose, white at base, with interior whitish cyanescent at apex, rufescent below.
