Description:

Tree, 15 m tall, still leafless. Stipules caducous. Leave blade margins doubly serrate, the bases asymmetric. Inflorescence fasciculate, subtended by reddish-tinged bud scales Flowers 2 mm diam., bisexual; anthers laterally dehiscent; protogynous; perianth uniseriate; slightly zygomorphic; stigma bifid, covered with simple, septate trichomes; ovary green, flattend, with wings along edges.
