    Small tree, 2 m tall. Calyx green, the lobes not touching at the bases; corolla tube exterior reddish-pink, the lobes reflexed, light pink, the filaments pink, the anthers golden-yellow. Pollen held together by viscin threads. Visited by the ruby-throated humminbird. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
