  • Description

    Cespitose, with 7 stems within 50 cm., to 2 m. tall, 2.5-3 cm. diameter; leaves 5-8 per stem; sheathy densely spiny; petiole 28-43 cm. long, spinelss, or with few, blacky spines to 5 cm.; leaves entire, erect, arching at tip; rachis without spines, or with few black spines to 7 cm. long; margins with few spines; leaves with rachis 78-146 cm. long, 18-27 cm. wide at apex of rachis, strongly plicate, with 13 main veins per side; fruits orange. Phenology of specimen: Fruit, Flower.
