  Planta con flores de pedúnculos cortos que salen del ápice de los tallos maduros distinguida por la fragancia fuerte que despiden en la noche. Es polinizada por mariposas nocturnas. Crece silvestre sobre piedras y árboles en áreas húmedas desde el nivel del mar hasta zonas altas y bajas de la Cordillera Central y bajas de la Sierra de Luquillo. Está distribuida en las Indias Occidentales, México, Florida, América Central y del Sur. Plant with flowers of short peduncles that emerge at the apex of mature stems characterized by a strong fragrance, dispersed at night. It is pollinated by nocturnal butterflies. It grows wild on stones and trees in humid areas from sea level to high and low elevations of the Central Mountain range and low zones of the Mountain range of Luquillo. It is distributed in the West Indies, Mexico, Florida, and Central and South America.
