  Pubescent base of stem of Hieracium venosum based on S. A. Mori & M. Rothman 27950 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve. The trichomes are septate, i.e., they have horizontal walls that divide the trichome into chambers. There are difficult to see unless you zoom in on the trichomes.
