Description
Pappus of Hieracium venosum based on S. A. Mori & M. Rothman 27950 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve. The calyx of the Asteraceae is called the pappus. In this species the pappus consists of white, thread-like structures originating from the top of the ovary.
