  Apical view of a flower of Euonymus alatus. based on S. A. Mori & M. Rothman 27923 from the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve, Westchester Co., New York. The summit of the ovary covered by a nectivorous disk. The stamens alternate with petals, arising between a thin ring and the nectivorous tissue. The disk sometomes surrounds the filament bases.
