  Inflorescence of Euonymus alatus based on S. A. Mori et al. 27765 from the Western Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve, Westechester County, NY. The flowers arise from the leaf axils and the upper part of the stem is knobby because of the well-developed petiole scar.
