Description
Description - Leafy twigs often with rather dense short hairs, sometimes intermixed with distinctly longer ones, below the scars of the stipules always longer hairs, sometimes almost glabrous. Leaves (elliptic to) oblong to lanceolate, broadest in or just below the middle, (3.5-)5-17(-30) cm long, (2-)3-7(-11.5) cm broad, at the base acute to obtuse, or occasionally emarginate; margin entire; secondary veins sometimes slightly impressed above, smaller veins slightly prominent to plane beneath, 14-16(-28) pairs of secondary veins; petioles 4-15(-20) mm long; stipules 0.5-3.5 cm long, with very short and distinctly longer hairs. Inflorescences subglobose, ca 6 mm in diameter; peduncle 1-2 mm long; receptacle not or slightly foveate; staminate flowers numerous; perianth 0.3-0.8 mm high, (sometimes lacking?), stamens 1 (or occasionally 2?), filaments 0.8-1.4 mm long, anthers 0.5-0.6 mm long and 0.6-0.8 mm broad; style ca 2 mm long, stigmas 2.5-3.0 mm long.

Discussion
The leafy twigs of the specimen from Colombia are almost glabrous. In other characters it matches specimens from northern Venezuela.
