Description
Species Description - Shrub 2–4 m; lfls 7–13, oval to obovate, 1.5–2.5 cm; fls 2–8 in the raceme, yellow marked with red, 2 cm; fr membranous, ovoid or fusiform, 5–8 × 3 cm, indehiscent; 2n=16. Native of the Mediterranean region, rarely escaped from cult. in our range.
