    Species Description - Petioles 3–7 cm, glabrous or sparsely glandular-hairy; lf-blades narrowly obovate to elongate-spatulate, 15–35 × 3–4 mm; stipules 5 mm, adnate, fimbriate along the upper half; scape glabrous, 6–25 cm, with 1–9 fls 6–7 mm wide; sep minutely glandular-denticulate, 5–6 mm; pet white, spatulate, 6 mm; seeds black, sigmoid-fusiform, 1–1.5 mm, longitudinally striate-areolate; 2n=40. Peaty and boggy places; circumboreal, s. in Amer. to Que., n. Me., Bruce Co., Ont., n. Minn., n. Mich., n. Wis., and Calif. June–Aug. (D. longifolia, in part) Perhaps originally an amphiploid of nos. 2 [Drosera rotundifolia L.] and 4 [Drosera linearis Goldie].
