    Species Description - Glabrous, usually branched from the base, the branches decumbent or suberect, 1.5-4 dm. long. Leaves ovate or oval, 1-2 cm. long, serrate, short petioled, darkening in drying; peduncles slender, as long as the leaves or longer, sometimes 3 times as long; upper sepal at length 810 mm. long; corolla white or pink, about 10 mm. long; capsule oblong, 6-10 mm. long.
