Discussion
Savannas, brackish marshes, palmetto-lands and borders of mangrove swamps, Great Bahama, Andros and New Providence : Virginia to Florida, Texas and Mexico ; Cuba to Porto Rico and to Trinidad ; Jamaica. The Andros plant recorded by Mrs. Northrop as Cynootonum sessilifolia (T. & G.) Britton, proves to be better referable to this species. Mitkewort.
