Description
Genus Description - Plants small to medium-sized, usually golden, in lax to dense turfs or tufts. Leaves ± cultelliform, asymmetric, acute to short-acuminate; margins plane, irregularly serrate, bordered below but cells not hyaline; costa subpercurrent to short-excurrent; cells ± rhombic, smooth, elongate (but chlorophyllose) on antical margin; basal cells long-rectangular. Propagula uniseriate, determinate, fusiform. Setae elongate; capsules erect; peristome single.
