    Species Description - Plants mostly small, green, in lax to dense turfs; stems 0.5-1 cm tall. Leaves ± involute when dry, ovate to short-cultelliform, 0.4-0.8(1.4) x 0.2-0.35(0.6) mm; margins regularly serrulate, narrowly to broadly recurved on antical margin, plane on postical margin, elimbate; costa mostly subpercurrent, strongly displaced toward postical margin; cells irregular in outline, rounded-oblong to rounded-oblate, thick-walled, 11-17 µm in longest dimension, sporadically unipapillose. Propagula common, easily detachable, at stem apices. Fertile stems not complanate-foliate; setae ca. 1 cm long; capsules ca. 1 mm long.

    In non-flooded moist forests, usually near streams, rare, ca. 300 m, on tree trunks.
