Discussion
Although the flowers are not known, this species is very suggestive of S. sericea and for this reason alone it is placed among the species characterized by apetalous flowers. From S. sericea it differs in the glabrous inner surface of the calyx; from other related species it is separable by either the vestiture or the number of pairs of leaflets.
