Description
Species Description - The staminate flowers are described here for the first time (Schunke 1277): Inflorescences [male] supra-axillary, 4-5 together, bis-racemose, the main axis straight, slender, 6-12 cm long, the secondary ones up to 1.5 cm long, the longer pedicels ± 3 mm long, 0.25 mm diam; flower [male]: sepals 9, like the branchlets of the panicle all silky-strigulose externally, the 3 outermost minute, resembling bracteoles, 0.3 mm long, the 3 median ovate-elliptic ± 0.7 mm long, 0.3 mm wide, the 3 inner suborbieular, fleshy-thickened, at full anthesis plane, 1.7-1.9 mm long, 1.6-1.8 mm wide, densely minutely papillose within; androecium 6-merous, glabrous, ± 0.9 mm long, the filaments all free from the base, laterally compressed, linear in dorsal view, the 3 outer ones in profile narrowly elliptic, a little constricted just below the anthers, the 3 inner similar but slightly shorter and more fleshy, in profile cuneiform, the antherthecae scarcely prominulous 0.25-0.3 mm long, collateral on inner side, separated dorsally by narrow connective, dehiscent by vertical slit.
