Type. “Prope Rio de Janeiro (Freire Allemao in Hb. DC.),” not seen. Distribution. A southern element. The northernmost occurrence is at Ega (Tefe) on the Amazon, Brazil and along Rio Santiago above Pongo Manseriche, Peru.
