  • Description

    Species Description - Plants yellow to brownish-yellow. Stems up to 2 cm long; branches julaceous, up to 0.5 cm long, horizontally spreading. Stem leaves patent to squarrose, 0.7-1 x 0.5-0.7 mm, ovate to orbicular-ovate, abmptly narrowed to a short, curved acumen, gradually narrowed or slightly cordate at base; upper median cells 20-50 X 2-3 µm; alar cells only slightly differentiated, short-rectangular. Branch leaves 0.6-0.7 x 0.3-0.4 mm. Perichaetial leaves weakly sermlate above, subentire below. Setae 2-2.5 cm long; capsules inchned to pendulous, ± 1.3 mm long, ± 0.8 mm broad, ovoid; exothecial cells short-rectangular; operculum conic-obtuse. Spores and calyptrae unknown.
