  Species Description - Plants relatively robust, somewhat glossy, light-green or yellowish. Secondary stems erect or ascending, stipitate sparsely foliate below, freely and sometimes regularly 1-3-pinnate or frondose above; branches sometimes flagellate-attenuate; paraphyllia none. Stipe leaves small, scalehke, appressed. Leaves of the frond complanate, mostly plicate when dry, wide-spreading and asymmetric, broadly oblong-ovate to obovate, broadly rounded or rounded-obtuse; margins inflexed on 1 side at base, coarsely and irregularly incised-dentate above; costa single, slender, ending at or above the leaf middle; cells smooth, subquadrate to rhombic above, longer and ± porose at base. Dioicous. Setae short; capsules shortly exserted, erect or nearly so, symmetric, subcylindric; annulus probably none; exostome teeth narrowly lanceolate, papillose-striate below, papillose above; endostome about as long as the exostome, consisting of a well-developed basal membrane and lanceolate, keeled, narrowly perforate, papillose segments. Calyptrae cucullate, mostly hairy.
