  Genus Description - Small terrestrials arising from subterranean tuber. Leaves variable, from having a well-defined blade and petiole to highly reduced scales. Inflorescences terminal, solitary flowers arising from upper leaf axils. Flowers ephemeral, long-pedicellate; sepals and petals subsimilar, free, spreading; lip 3-lobed, with parallel ridges; column elongate, footless, wingless; pollinia 2, granular.
