Flowers: sepals subequal, free; petals similar to or shorter and broader than sepals; lip simple or 3-lobed, sessile, with or without various lamellate or thickened crests, with paired stipitate processes at base; column elongate, wingless, footless; pollinia in 2 masses, granular.
