Description
Genus Description - Succulent prostrate herbs. Leaves opposite, succulent and stipulate. Flowers solitary and axillary; calyx with 5 sepals, often colored, with a central keel on dorsal side; corolla lacking; stamens 5 to numerous; ovary 3-5 celled, with numerous ovules. Fruit a circumscissile capsule; seeds numerous, stalked, usually smooth.
