Description
Genus Description - Herbs or shrubs. Leaves petiolate; blades with numerous minute cystoliths. Bracts lacking. Flowers solitary or few at leaf axil; calyx with 4 sepals; corolla salverform, zygomorphic, with long, narrow tube and 2-lipped limbs; stamens 2, adnate at corolla mouth, included or projecting beyond the tube; stigma slightly 2-lobed. Capsule club-shaped, usually 4-seeded.
